Perhaps one thing we really don’t have in the States are homeless kids.  As someone who grew up in South Korea, I know there’s a ton of homeless kids in South Korea and other parts of the world.  One of my dreams in life is to help the homeless, especially those kids.

For one, I know homeless kids in Korea get by stealing.  Well, they are also parentless, lost souls we must help save, much  more than cancer patients I think.  Kids are future of our world.

Anyways, check out some of these pics over at English Russia depicting the poor kids in Russia who are homeless and parentless and you should be happy if you have a home even if the economy doesn’t look great.

The boy said, “I want a cannon.” Dad didn’t scoff at Logan’s request by saying, “How about a hippopotamus instead,” as a Christmas song from another era lamented. No, Daugherty is not that kind of guy. He granted his son’s wish and built him a Civil War-era cannon not a model, the real deal. The howitzer fires and rivals anything seen at Civil War reenactments across the country. He said it took him about two weeks to build and is worth about $6,000. “It looks like something right out of the battle at Gettysburg,” Daugherty said. The cast iron and steel 4-inch gun barrel is 36 inches long. It is mounted on a wooden gun carriage with two 36- inch diameter wheels. The cannon weighs about 700 pounds, so it is not something Logan will be able to carry to school in his backpack.

what has three legs, three arms, a bit of a hunchback and pretty pink argyle? i don’t know exactly what happened, but his opinion is that it must have been something he ate. (he can’t be held responsible for the sweater either. his aunt made it for him and he’s visiting her later today.)

due to his strange appetites, he has three legs and three lopsided arms. the number of fingers and toes appear to be normal for whatever he is.

he is 7 inches tall and completely hand stitched from vintage and wool felts. his head is full of new fluff, his tummy is full of whatever he ate. i suggest we let that digest awhile before finding him another snack.

How to Treat Your Child Like a Dog with a Child Leash!

A 13-year-old Virginia boy apparently loaded his family’s pickup truck with food, clothes and his dog, hitched up a trailer with two horses in tow and drove nearly 1,300 miles to Texas, police said. The teen’s parents found him safe Friday.

Police are unsure why the boy ran away Wednesday morning from his Jetersville-area home. He apparently was well-prepared, even bringing extra propane tanks along.

Wyatt E. McLaughlin was found about 2 p.m. Friday on a rodeo grounds near Weatherford, Texas, where he had performed several times before. His parents looked for him there on a hunch, said Sgt. Tom Cunningham, a Virginia State Police spokesman.

“These all don’t turn out well,” Cunningham said Friday night. “We’re pleased to report the outcome was positive.”

Surveillance video from a gas station in Mount Pleasant, Texas, appeared to show the boy pumping gas Thursday into his family’s pickup truck. The parents flew to Texas to view the video and believed the boy on the tape was their son, Cunningham said.

Wow, check out this awesome kid’s treehouse bedroom, it doesn’t get better than this with hidden drawers, doors, and a real (or is it fake) tree house.

The armoire quickly became a large focus element within the room – including with it a fun element for the kids (the library ladder). The armoire was designed to fit within the overall look of the room and was painted with the same techniques used on the floor armoire below the treehouse. The standing armoire was also wired for the families TV in order to make a clean look. Size of the armoire comes out to almost 11 feet by 9 feet (BIG!)

Here’s a pre-mature baby who could obviously fit in a pocket.  The hospital nurse is in some big trouble, that’s too bad.

Israel’s most widely circulated paper Yedioth Ahronoth has amazed the country last Sunday with a huge photograph on its cover, showing a senior Neonatal nurse smiling to the camera with, well, a premature baby inside her uniform pocket. Apparently the photograph was taken as a “humorous gesture” during a hospital teaching presentation at the Bnei Zion Medical Center in Haifa.
