I have personally experienced race inequality where I grew up in South Korea.  Still, there’s a lot of people who are racists when it comes to dealing with outsiders, simply because South Korea isn’t as diverse as it’s hard to find other races other than Koreans really.

I guess China is a bit the same way, here’s an example where a half black/half Chinese girl enters a talent show in China and called “chocolate girl” by the anchor.  I guess they meant it a complement but it’s still technically racist.

I think because U.S. has gone through these racial issues over the last 60 years or so and have resolved many issues, we can clearly see (outside the box) that race equality still has a LONG way to go in Asia period.

There’s not even laws to protect the racial equality in Asia as far as I know, only to protect the natural citizens at best.  Of course, I am sure time will fix things but in the meanwhile, you need to keep teaching people what’s right and wrong before it gets out of hand.

Call it weird or whatever but they’ve had indoor beaches in Asia as long as I can remember.  This particular Japanese indoor beach is sorta outrageously cool, with artificial sky, surf, sand, and all that without risking skin cancer.

I can see these things are actually great for society in the year 2200 when we have too many people and beaches are hard to see due to pollution and whatnot.  Japan is ahead, “way” ahead in terms of future a metropolitan city.  Of course, Seoul and many other cities too are…

Japanese Indoor Beach!

Russians have been prone to trying dangerous stuff for fun and thrills including hiding under the train rails right before it goes by.

Of course, they really need to build more amusement parks where people can do this more safely.  I just wonder how many people died accidently while doing this, that we will never find out or they will never tell you.

Russian teens have now new fun. They dare trains.
This is needed to be done fast, because if one is appearing before the train too long before and machinist could see him and start breaking, so they run on the rails just before the train so he couldn’t start breaking and fell down on the rails, then the train moves above the person at his maximum speed, just a few inches from his head and back.
Russian teen girls seem to go for this too.

Here’s a really interesting story of mummified monks in Japan who would basically starve and go through bunch of bullshit so they can be mummified right…

The first part of the process involved a change of diet; a 1000-day period in which the priest ate only nuts and seeds that could be gathered in the forest surrounding his temple. Physical hardship was deliberately imposed with the goal of reducing the body fat to nearly nothing, allowing for easy decomposition.

Firstly what is an escamole? It is the eggs of a special ant called the giant black Liometopum. The eggs are not easy to get as the ants guarding them are very vicious and are extremely venomous. Getting Hungry yet?

We had the Obama sushi from Japan couple months back, now we got Obama Fingers from Germany!   This would definitely be a racist problem in America (due to the fact it’s fried chicken) but I think it should be fine for Germany.  Heck, I like to eat a lot of fried chicken, KFC is my favorite fast food.

I think China still has some issues in dealing with their students.  This is human rights thing, not a bad student.  The teacher should really goto jail for couple years.

When his teacher, Guo, found out that young Zheng had not completed his homework, she flipped out.

“She was very angry at the time,” he said. “She ripped and twisted my cheeks with both her hands and then she lifted me off the ground.”

The teacher held the boy up until one of his cheeks actually ripped off and the boy was bleeding profusely.

Without hesitation the teacher reached down and picked up Zheng’s cheek skin, put it on his face, and instructed the boy go home immediately.

Weird Teachers in China!

I used to study tarantulas back in high school and found that they are not as scary as they look.  (Harmless to humans pretty much but they can eat mice.)

Anyways, I guess you can eat tarantulas in Cambodia and I agree it might be a good idea to take a bite of that spider meat every once in awhile.  Think of all the protein!

Next time you are in Cambodia, make sure to get some of this grub.

Eat Tarantula Spiders in Cambodia!

One of the things you can experience is the Korean Sashimi, slightly different fish and way of serving from Japanese Sashimi.

You can walk into any restaurant in Korea near the ocean and they will make you sushi from a live fish.  (and sometimes the head included too.)

It’s a wonderful sashimi experience and you get the “whole” fish instead of just couple pieces unlike Japanese sashimi.

I don’t think they have Korean restaurants close enough to the ocean here in America but if you get a chance, make sure to get some authentic Korean sashimi in Korea.

Korean Sashimi

My favorite Korean dish is the Octopus sashimi.  Even after you cut the octopus up into pieces, they will move around and when you chew, the tentacles will try to stick to your tongue.

Funny Racist Joke!

Live, raw octopus has been Korean traditional dish for last 2 centuries.  Of course, even after you cut Octopus into pieces, they are still alive and when you put them in your mouth, the tentacles will suck on your tongue.

Of course, it’s best served with some soju.

Straight from the tank onto the plate – in less than 8 minutes. Raw octopus (낙지회, nakji hwee) can either be eaten whole or sliced up. Obviously, my guests chose the latter – cowards!

The nakji arrives at the table all squirming and wriggling, very worm-like when you think about it. It’s served with a healty dash of sesame oil and topped with roasted sesame seeds. Nothing else – no salt, no pepper, nada.

The fun bit is getting them onto your chopsticks and then into your mouth. These fellas will squirm and wriggle their way out of trouble. And the suction cups on their tentacles can be pretty strong, even as they slide down your throat! Hahaha ….. talk about your food fighting back.

Chinese people have copied Spain’s La Tomatina festival by packing a LOT of tomatoes for people to play with.

With more stuff being absorbed by China (with all those copy-cat iPhones, Hondas, etc…), I wouldn’t be surprised if they started having Chinese Halloween anytime soon.  It’s a good thing in my mind to learn and copy other cultures, just not patents and gadgets.

Indian Snake Festival!

In many Asian countries, people have believe that small feet of women are one of the most important traits that men looks for.  (Of course this is not really going on as seriously as 50 years ago)

Here’s a picture of an old woman who used to be a Geisha.  Do you like how her toes are wrapped at the bottom?  Gross!

I think small feet are ugly.
