Ketchup Tree to Catch Up!

Check out this weird Malaysian flower that gives off odor of “dead people”.

Often called a “corpse flower,” the odor of this monstrous blossom is notoriously
unpleasant, imitating the decaying flesh of a dead animal. Its hairy, leathery texture and
reddish coloration contribute to this illusion, attracting flies and other scavengers for
pollination. It is not known exactly how its seeds reach other Tetrastigma, but may stick to
the fur of passing rodents. Only one will be produced from each flower.

Weird Giant Flower from Malaysia!

I once walked into a club with a pocket full of some ancient pot before.  Of course I did get kicked out but here’s another interesting news about pot that over 1000 years old.

Archaeologists found the still-green plant material in a grave uncovered in China’s Gobi Desert. They believe that the marijuana was buried along with an ancient shaman as a mark of high respect. And speaking of “high” … lab tests showed that the once-potent pot had lost its psychoactive effect over the centuries.

Robotic Plant from Japan!

Check out the World’s Biggest Pumpkin that grew from half tons of manure, it weighs 1457 lbs, a little bit more than a Mini Cooper.

Twin brothers were today celebrating setting a new European record by growing a massive pumpkin weighing more than a Mini car.

Ian and Stuart Paton’s giant squash weighed in at a staggering 1457lb – more than 104 stone – and had to be lifted by forklift truck.

The pumpkin smashed the previous British record of 1,341lb set by father and son farmers Mark and Frank Baggs last month.

Upside Down Christmas Tree!

Flower on steel?!?  That’s weird…

A Chinese man has reportedly found flowers growing from a steel pipe in his vegetable garden. Grandpa Ding told Sohu News: “I was cleaning the pipes, then my hand touched something fluffy.”
Ding says he was surprised to see the patch of tiny white flowers growing on the smooth steel.
“The stems are slimmer than human hair, and altogether there are 38 small white flowers on top,” he said.
The flowers open in the mornings, then close when the sun grows strong. Each flower has a diameter of 1mm.
Ding has consulted his neighbours, who believe the flowers are the legendary Youtan Poluo flower, which blossoms only once every 3,000 years.
