Weird Houses Around the World Slideshow!

Here’s a cool design for a mobile home, one that can “walk” supposedly.  I think it’s a good idea except we already have had a good invention better than this for a long time, it’s called RVs.

After all, the Walking House relies on solar panels embedded all over its body to provide energy within, with small windmills helping it out as well. Water is collected from rainfall, so we would advice staying in areas where there is large amounts of rainfall each year. Inside, expect to live out a spartan lifestyle as you get a basic living module with a composting toilet system, a small wood burning stove and a solar-powered water heater.

Well, there a slew of some weird architecture over here but this one caught my eye, the Kansas City Public Library.  Basically, the side of the building features bunch of famous books by bunch of famous writers.

This is a really good way to make a public libarary a fun place for kids to go while giving free advertising to those famous writers. (who are probably rich out of their minds anyways but…or dead…) :p

Here’s the world’s largest treehouse that took $7 million to build.  Of course, it has a 120-seat restaurant to feed any tourists visiting the area.  Our suggestion is to build one of these when you have millions of dollars to waste.

$7 Million World’s Largest Treehouse!

Apparently, Japan has this weird lookin’ treehouse restaurant that serves great food.

I’d obviously would love to go here one day and eat food while enjoying the spectacular treehouse views.

Naha Harbor Diner sits perfectly on top of a massive Gajumaru, Japan, tree’s huge branches about 20 ft above the ground and looking out over the ocean.
The restaurant which is accessible by both a spiral stairway and an inbuilt tree trunk elevator specializes in locally grown and organically harvested foods brought straightaway from the farms. It dishes out fresh vegetables, juicy chickens and pork and native salts thereby cutting down the expenses of shipping and packaging along with a reduction in carbon and plastic wastes.

Weird Temple!

Lol, the UK government has set-up a giant cement wall for kids to practice their graffiti and people are mad that tax money was spent on something stupid such as this and wrote, “I paid my tax, all I got was this louosy wall!”.

I have to agree, whoever thought of making this wall is a dumb politician, this isn’t something they should spend money on.  They should just set aside some empty warehouse building walls as graffiti practice area instead and pay that company some money.

“The ironic thing is that the wall has been built thanks to the generosity of local people giving time and resources for free,” he said.

“But it is now going to cost the taxpayer, as we will have to crime it, investigate it and paint over it.

“We have been working hard to try to provide something positive for the community and this coward and their juvenile delinquent act has set a terrible example to the youth of the town.

Tax Money Used to Make $5000 Graffiti Wall and People are Mad!

This house made from shipping containers may be weird but it’s very eco-friendly and besides, why not re-use the containers to something useful such as this, containers have been proven to be long-lasting, durable enough for ocean travel.

Shipping containers are cheap, plentiful and strong. I grew up surrounded by containers (and helped my dad design the Kalkinesque warehouse shown above for Northern Canada in the seventies) and always thought the interior dimensions too small, the floors too toxic and the problems of insulating and making them comfortable too challenging, but dozens of architects and shipping container designs have proven me wrong. Let’s count the ways.

The town of Nordlingen in the Donau-Ries district of Bavaria, Germany, is unlike any other town in the district. In fact, it’s unlike any other town on the whole planet. This pretty medieval town, with a population of 20,000, is situated entirely inside a massive meteorite crater 25 km across. This crater called the Nördlinger Ries, was formed some 14.5 million years ago when a meteor about a mile across slammed into Earth. It was only less than fifty years ago that evidence emerged which established the true origin of this town.

TORONTO (Reuters Life!) – To exit through the back door of Toronto’s “smallest house,” first fold the Murphy bed back into the wall; it takes up the entire seven-foot width of the bedroom.

Built in 1912, the pint-size “Little House” features one bedroom, a kitchen with folding table and chairs, a living room and a full, if narrow, bathroom. With a living area of just 300 square feet, it was bought and renovated this year, and is back on the market for C$173,000 ($172,000).

“Holy cow, that is the smallest house,” said cab driver Kamran Ghuman, after pulling up outside 128 Day Avenue in Toronto’s west end. “It looks like it used to be a garage and then they made a house out of it.”

Our best advice is to get the fuck out of that fucking fucked up land.

Mark Easton from Utah complained in the city hall about his neighbour’s house being 50cm taller than what the law foresees, and used the excuse of blocking the view to the mountains.

His neighbour had to resize the house, but few days later the City Hall received another complaint, about some new vents Mark didnt really appreciate…
