Here’s a cool concept for sky ads, skywriting that uses exhaust fumes to advertise businesses. I have seen other types of sky advertising but this one is definitely the most creative. Now, will someone care to advertise DeClubz.com? (The source for all kinds of weird and bizarre information on the internet?)

What a cool technique, it reminds me of the old computer days where dot-matrix printers were of norm in the 80s.

Skywriting is often done into the wind so the words don’t spread so quickly. The puffs of words can drift 10 to 20 miles before completely dispersing in a gentle breeze. The message is gone with the wind in about 20 minutes, in hopes that they remain etched in memories for miles. The dot-matrix formed letters have a longer lasting effect that the old-school technique.

Here’s a billboard that’s supposed to “snow” if it’s also snowing in the mountains. What a great advertising concept and I wonder how much they put into making this.

Other than advertising itself, this is great buzz marketing, taking the world by a snow storm on every bus stop.

Tryvann Winter Park is a modern and highly equipped ski resort only 15 minutes from the center of Norway’s capital city, Oslo. Whilst downtown can be completely free of snow, Tryvann can be a winter wonderland with perfect ski conditions.

A smart technical solution made it possible to create a mini snowstorm inside transparent billboards. Every time it snowed at Tryvann Winter Park, mini snowstorm was started and stopped by sending an SMS.

Artists in New York has devised a Ice Statue of the word, “Economy”, to symbolize the American economy meltdown over the last 12 months or so.

In downtown Manhattan, two artists, Marshall Reese and Nora Ligorano sculpted the word “ECONOMY” from a block of ice to symbolize the economic downfall. The 1500 lbs. of ice was put on display in front of the Supreme Court and marked the day the stock market crashed that led to the Great Depression 79 years ago.

There was once when American auto-maker Chevrolet named their car, Nova, and tried to sell it in South America. Nova means “no go” in Spanish.

Here’s another soda thingee from Perrier, French water company, called “Shit”, or Pschitt. (same thing for us Americans)

No offense but Pschitt marketers are Pschitty at their job.

The French “Pschitt” is a popular brand of soda in Europe – it’s owned by Perrier, in fact. For obvious reasons the name does not play well in English-speaking countries.

Since the area has several hospitals (Kaiser, Children’s, Hollywood Pres), such a deal would seem like the sort of hidden gem that you’d expect LAist to share with you.

But the sign is hiding a dark secret. In fact it hopes that you see it in the dark. It relies on the fact that you will see it obscured in traffic.

Tom and Kerry Watts’ mammoth burger was nearly half a metre wide and weighed the equivalent of about 100 quarter pounders.

It was the highlight of the couple’s wedding reception which was held at Zak’s American diner in Norwich.

Microsoft has been slicing, cutting, and bleeding their company to death and this emergency kit will relieve those users cutting themselves mad from using overly-marketed but way-too-crappy Vista.

1) Windows XP and Flying MSN Messenger humans. – This is weird, I don’t get the point of it….

2) Windows 2000 – I think Windows 2000 wasn’t too bad, the commercial was really bad though. They should have mentioned the blue screen of death was the key to a better economy…

3) I stopped watching this one after about 3 seconds, boring, boring, oh so boring…was that even a Microsoft ad? It looked more like just bunch of pictures from the 60s or somethin.

4) Very bad bad ad, too much sex linked with MS Office. It’s like they are suggesting you to have sex on the job constantly, not that that’s a bad idea.

Well, those are some really horrible and weird ads from Microsoft. It’s amazing that Microsoft is still alive today, it must be luck.

Can you believe that?! This brazilian model “lost” her belly button as the Playboy magazine editors were retouching her body curves. The mistake went unnoticed, and the magazine sold 605,000 copies that month… lots of readers got pissed off when they realized they were wasting money on fake pictures.
