DIY Motorized Armchair Driver gets DUI!
A 61 year old DIYer was jailed for driving his DIY motorized armchair into a parked car after driving from a pub and being intoxicated 3 times the normal limit of alcohol. Needless to say, the DIY motorized armchair is certainly a piece of work as even the police have tried it out:
Deputy Chief Troy Foucalt said: ‘It actually works. He had broken the steering mechanism, but I was able to drive it around. It’s actually not too bad, you can go fast!’
He said the chair has raised a lot of attention and should sell for a good price in the auction.
‘We have never sold something like that before but a lot of people are asking about it,’ he said.
Too bad, we wish the court would dismiss the case.
