Got a few snarky comments - always from the childless - but most experienced parents thought it was brilliant. A second's glance away is all it takes; that little hand slithers out of yours and the kid is gone at high speed. There is NOTHING faster than a little kid, and less visible in a crowd or among the racks in the clothing department of a store. It's cheap insurance.
