Floating Staircase, How many pounds will it hold?
Wow, check out this floating staircase, do you think it will hold an average American over 250 pounds through daily stress???
UPDATE: I am an American who doesn’t weigh 250 pounds but I am just saying this should be able to hold up a 250 pound person, regardless of their culture. No pun intended.
This “floating staircase” was designed by Jordi Vayreda of Jordivayreda Projectteam (Spain). It may look dangerous, but that’s only because the guard-rails are made of the same invisible material as the risers.

“do you think it will hold an average American over 250 pounds through daily stress???”
Can you prove that the average american is over 250 lbs?? Or you just making up stuff about americans because you hate them??

The approximate average adult American weight at the beginning of 2006 was calculated to be 179.85 pounds.
The spam protection questions are pretty tough, huh?

Americans only average 250 if you count all the money in their pockets.

I would change the average fat american to the average fat american in the fly over and southern states. Most likely where GobBlessAmerica comes from. Want proof, just walk along the streets there … actually, you see more of them at parking lot, most of them drive.
BTW, Nice stairs.

Yeah, I don’t think the average American weight is 250LBS.

Id like to know what this so called “invivble material” is?
No light refraction, no sign of edges…. it must be air…
also im american and im only 176 pounds…

Yeah OK we admit it we hate Americans, but your still fat and invisible risers don’t really exist. Twas shooped i tells ya.

It is probably made out of the same material that Wonder Woman’s invisible airplane was made of. I always wondered why she herself wasn’t included in the plane’s invisibility when she was inside… everything else inside was.

wow…ok, americans are not 250 pounds average you dumbass. and learn to spell. it’s ’shopped’ not ’shooped’. Jeeze. I like the stairs, but not the stupid fuck who thinks all americans are fat.
June 4th, 2008 at 8:06 pm
Not only would I hate to go down those stairs at night, I’d hate to run into them. Imagine horsing around and finding your face hitting the side of one of those steps.
Or backing into it and the corner of the step gets you in the back of the head. Ouch.

Average American 250lb? Are you only counting the men? I’m American, from the south, and I weigh 90 pounds. You non-Americans are just jealous of all the money in our pockets. That Internet you’re using stolen? Oh yeah and learn proper grammar before you go and embarrass yourselves. You lot might also want to check your facts. One more thing, you can’t judge on weight because you don’t know the height; a better thing to look up would be the average BMI as that would reflect how much actual fat the average American has. Oh by the way, I’m sure those things can support like 400 pounds at least otherwise they’d have a bunch of lawsuits. Oh and before I forget, I don’t know about y’alls countries but in America we actually teach our children to not stereotype. Don’t bother replying to this, I will most likely never see this page again and have satisfied my need to rant at the people who choose to butcher the English language.

Ohhhhh, I can just see the American Lawyers salivating over this design. Can you say LAWSUITS. Don’t think this would work in the USA, too many code violations, as we have become a Nanny State
June 9th, 2008 at 11:11 pm
Wow awesome design. Too bad I couldn’t have something like in my house; I would be afraid of falling off lol. Great stuff! Thanks.

I, being American, am saddened by the people in my country who are insecure enough to care that people from other countries think we’re fat on average.
Which we most definitely are.
Cheers

I would love it if people could just comment on what this page is about- the stairs.
Yeah, so the guy made a comment about overweight Americans. Americans make comments about overweight Americans.
Just talk about how pretty the stairs are and stop being anal about other people’s opinions.
Nice stairs, also.

yea americans rock!!!!11! screw all you non american pussies!!! im soo not fat!! USA forever !!!! oh yeah and those stairs suxx and who ever made them suxx more!
June 12th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
Ok so I’m sorry but how is it that every time someone sees a picture that seems amazing, they claim its fake and photo shopped?!?!? Like, seriously, just because people have the ability to photo shop things doesn’t mean they do to EVERY SINGLE PICTURE!!! Stop being pessimistic and just enjoy the pictures!

I am American. I am under-weight. I work with 7 people. We are all well built and not over-weight except for one person. He is 55 years old and has kidney trouble. He takes medications that causes weight gain. Before this he was slim and strong built. Both of my parents are not over weight.. I know the parents of 2 different people that work with me. Their parents are not over-weight. I know more people that are not over-weight than are. One person I work with weighs right at 250lbs,
but he is 6′6″ and all muscles. He has seemingly no body fat. And this is strictly the people I work with and their families alone? What about the rest of us? Shall we say majority wins? You say Americans are prejudice, yet you post comments like this? Yea.. If we are, we learned it from you all. Show us more so that we may learn more. C`mon.. Do it.. Show us how to be like you. Teach us with your mighty and wise ways of being a literal hypocrite. We are learning well from you and your kind. Please teach us your wisdom of hate. Show us. Do it!

why is everyone arguing about how fat americans are and how much money is in their ever-shrinking pockets? isn’t this page about a nifty staircase? I’m American, a bit overweight, and broke. all the time. can’t afford a floating staircase. In fact, most of the people i know couldn’t afford something like that, though they’d likely buy it for posterity’s sake and have to remortgage the house to do it. and they’d also likely bust their fat asses falling down it.
Lighten up everybody, the world’s full of stupid people, stop compounding the interest.
Besides, America can do this all on their own without the help of some small group of sub-degenerates who have nothing better to do than argue on the internet. I merely caught this site in the interest of art. How boring you all must be.
